MIA Institute of Knowledge Ramadan Fundraiser: North American Fusion Iftar!

Please join us for a Fundraising Iftar this Ramadan, where we unite to support our own MIA Institute of Knowledge! 

Enjoy a delightful evening with delicious food, inspiring conversations, and a shared commitment to the future of our children. Your presence and contributions will directly benefit educational programs, our future facilities, and opportunities for students. As our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Charity does not decrease wealth" (Sahih Muslim). We all know that charity begins at home, so let's come together in the spirit of community and generosity this blessed month of Ramadan. The MIA Institute of Knowledge Parents' Committee 2024-25 would like to cordially invite everyone in the community, including professionals and businesses to come and support our local school and the education of our children, while enjoying a wonderful 3 course, healthy and comforting individually packed iftar meal. 

Planned North American Fusion Menu:

1) Appetizers:

- Dates & Water
- Traditional Kenyan "Sherbet" (Strawberry Milk)
- Beef & Barley Soup
- Fruit Salad

2) Main Course:

- Beftak (beef) with a rich, flavourful gravy
- Roasted Chicken Peri Peri (Portuguese)
- Sides of potatoes & veggies & tossed salad

3) Dessert:

- Middle Eastern desserts
- Ethiopian Tea/Coffee

Tickets required for ages 2 and above. 

$35/per person (infants under 2 years old are free)
$210 for a Family/Business Table of 6 people
$280 for a Family/Business Table of 8 people

Regular ticket prices from Saturday, February 22, 2025:

$40/per person (infants under 2 years old are free)
$240 for a Family/Business Table of 6 people
$320 for a Family/Business Table of 8 people

Please kindly note that as this is a school fundraiser iftar with an individually-packaged 3 course iftar meal, everyone aged 2 years and older will require a ticket (hence, a seat & a meal).
