Fajr Ajr resumes at Grand and Pioneer Mosques every weekend starting on Saturday, December 7.
"So perform the regular prayers in the period from the time the sun is past its zenith till the darkness of the night, and [recite] the Quran at dawn- dawn recitation is always witnessed." (Quran 17:78)
Take advantage of winter and join your community in praying Fajr in the masjid on the weekend! There will also be a lecture series after Fajr prayer on the Importance of Islamic manners, where we will speak on important etiquettes towards improving one's character. We encourage all to join!
We will also be handing out "reward cards" to kids under 16. After praying Fajr, they can have them stamped and collect points for small encouragement gifts insha Allah!
There is a tremendous reward in praying Fajr in the mosque. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Give glad tidings to those who walk to the mosque in darkness of perfect light on the Day of Resurrection.”
